At The Cylinder Of Events
is an object show about an aspiring reality show host - Cylinder Hat!
What difficulties will he face along the way? What lessons will he have to learn? Find out by watching the show!
ATCOE: Beginnings
is a prequel to the main show. It's mostly about how Cylinder Hat got his show greenlit, with Cherry to help him prepare the show for air.

Production
Here is how the episodes are made:
1) I write the script, sometimes with the help of other writers.
2) Then, we draw storyboards, using a storyboarding template that I made in Adobe Flash Pro.
3) Then I tell the voice actors to record their lines. Sometimes they do that before storyboarding, sometimes after.
4) The audio editor stitches the voice lines and storyboards into a draft of the episode. He then divides the audio into scenes.
5) Animators can now pick the scenes that they want to animate, or I pick the scenes for them. They need to download audio files and import them into Adobe Flash.
6) When the scenes are finished, I download them and put in backgrounds and props. Sometimes I may redo/fix some animation.
7) Then the audio editor, who is also the video editor, stitches the finished, animated scenes together and adds background music.
8) Then he sends me the video file and I upload it to YouTube! How quickly the episodes come out depends entirely on how fast the animators are. And most of the time, they're slow.
To make ATCOE, I use these programs:
1) Adobe Flash Pro CS6
2) Sony Vegas 9 (recently updated to version 11)
3) Google Documents for writing
4) Google Drive to share files
5) Audacity
6) FL Studio (sometimes you can hear music that I made myself, mostly in the credits)
7) Easy Paint Tool SAI 2

Trivia!
Here are some explanations to stuff about the show.
How do genders work?
The objects in ATCOE as a species do not have any genders or gender-based dimorphism. Then, how do they decide which pronouns to use for each other? It's a quirk that is lost in English. Each noun in Russian has a gender of its own, which is based on the endings of the noun itself. So they just use pronouns that match with the gender of their names.
The most accurate way to translate this is to make every ATCOE character use it/its pronouns in English translation, since you refer to inanimate objects with it/its. But that would probably get confusing fast, so I just use the original name-assigned pronouns instead.

No canon ships? D:
Objects in ATCOE are also unable to feel romantic love for each other. The highest level of connection to have with someone as an object is best friend... ship? So yeah, that means that basically there are no canon ships. They can still have parental connections and love for their child, though!
How do they reproduce then? O.o
Object babies are made artificially! Sets of limbs, face parts and bodies are sent to a special institution, where trained professionals build a baby by sticking the parts to the bodies! The limbs and face parts are made out of a special material - inky ore. This ore has the power to bring life into shallow husks. But in order for that to happen, another living being needs to construct with it! This means that they can't make automated baby production. Now that I think about it... that last sentence sounds pretty funny out of context.
Why are there families then? -_-
Like I said before, objects can still form parental connections with babies. Having this feature is kind of necessary if a species wants to survive. Objects can only adopt babies in these special institutions that were mentioned before. In order to adopt, they need a parental license that they can earn only by going through training, so that they won't be completely terrible at parenting.
I'll add more information here if more questions arise!
Characters, their names, pronouns, and original Russian names!

Hosts

Cylinder Hat / Cylinder - he/him - Ru: Cilinder
is the show's host! He's quite naive and acts first, thinks last. He can come up with a bunch of different ideas, most of them impractical.
Opinions on other characters:
Cherry - he thinks she's a bit too boring, but at the same time he still listens to her advice, as he thinks that she's also wise.
Camera - to him, she's a fun object! Though Camera has this weird mystique about her, and he's curious to find out more about her.
Traffic Light - he's mostly scared of him, but finds him to be very helpful and kind.
Tuft - he considers him to be the first fan of his show!

Camera - she/her
is Cyl's first co-host. She can look through any functional camera nearby. This means that she possibly has seen everything the viewer has. She also hosts the eliminations.
Opinions on other characters:
Cylinder Hat - she appreciates that he's open to having fun.
Cherry - she's just so boring to her!
Traffic Light - she hasn't seen an object like him before! She wants to find out more about him.

Traffic Light - he/him - Ru: Svetofor
is Cyl's second co-host. He's happy to help him with the show physically, by moving heavy objects around and such. To other objects, TL lands into uncanny valley. I mean, imagine seeing a human with an elongated head and three vertically aligned eyes. You'd probably be creeped out!
Opinions on other characters:
Cylinder Hat - he will do anything he says. However, Cylinder Hat not being so strict is a new experience to him.
Cherry - why is she so afraid of him? This confuses Traffic Light.
Camera - she's not as alien to him as the others.
